Light in colour. Very popular in joinery, kitchen and shop-fitting work, giving a traditional appearance. Grading can allow some sapwood and defect on one face of some boards.

Sizes: 27, 34, 41, 54, 65, 80, 100 (A/D) 125/150mm
High-grade logs, personally selected in France, Italy & Germany. Decorative, with silver figure. Good strength, good working, qualities and large-size boards. Wide-ranging applications include high-class furniture, joinery and building restoration.
S/E & W/E CHARACTER K/D
Grade allows some knots, splitting and shakes. Ideal character grade for flooring & up and other utility work. Available as ‘ready-to-lay’ FLOORING
2.14m & up, 100mm - 300mm+ / Size: 25mm
F/S CONSTRUCTIONAL GRADEDurable and decorative and suitable for a multitude of uses. Fresh sawn logs, fine sawn to requirement.

Pine – Quebec Yellow

Colour varies from creamy-white to a light straw brown. An easily worked, stable timber, traditionally used in furniture applications and pattern making. Also available as LAMINATED PANELS

Pine – Southern Yellow

Joinery quality Pine, generally clear of defects. Very popular for internal staircases, internal joinery and furniture. Classic Pine look. Usually stocked in 250-300mm wide and 3.66-4.88m long.

Redwood, sometimes with stripey-grain effect. A good, all-purpose, durable joinery timber, reddish-brown in colour.

Sycamore
W/E PRIME K/D
2m & up, 200mm & up / Size: 25,38,50, 75mm
Heartwood and sapwood yellowish-white when cut, with a natural lustre, noticeable on quarter sawn. High-strength properties but not durable. Easy to work to a fine, smooth finish. Can be glued, stained and polished. Log-sawn stock often available.

Tulipwood

Soft, light, easily worked and inexpensive. An ideal utility timber for interior joinery, internal furniture parts, mouldings and painting. Creamy-white in colour, sometimes with a green or grey streak.

Utile

Heartwood is reddish-brown when dry. The grain produces a broad ribbon stripe. Durable, it is used for cabinet work and general joinery. Takes stain and glue and polishes well. Often used as a Mahogany substitute.

Walnut – American Black

Decorative timber used in high-quality and bespoke furniture. Works and finishes well. NB: Whilst our stock is Prime Grade to reduce sapwood quantities, USA grading rules allow its presence.
